My Magical Reads

If I have a few moments to myself you would probably find me with my nose in a book….

If I’m not making a mandala or knitting!

I thought I would share with you five books I have read that made my life a little (or a lot!) more magical!

1. Fairy Tale by Signe Pike.

This is such a magical read. It is about one woman’s mission to prove fairies are real.

I wholeheartedly believe in fairies anyway but if your unsure or would like to recapture some of that magical wonder and belief in magic you had as a child, this is the book for you….

2. Living Magically by Gill Edwards.

This is such a lovely book, it is very thought provoking and will make you question and identify what is holding you back from living your most magical life.

You work your way through the book with little exercises throughout, such as visualisation and journaling.

It does make you question yourself and find out what truly makes you happy….which helps you to move closer to the magic!

3. Hilary Mckays Fairy Tales

This is a beautiful collection of imaginative retellings inspired by classic fairy tales.

I’m not going to tell you much more than that, I don’t want to spoil it for you.

I love nothing more than snuggling up with a cup of tea, and probably some dark chocolate, with a candle lit and reading about witches, fairies, princesses and big bad wolves, for me it is nurturing my inner child, which is very important to me.

4. A Deep Breath of Life by Alan Cohen.

This book holds a page for every day.

365 little stories.

This is one way to begin your day, or end your day. They only take a few moments each to read but each story offers pause for thought and wisdom.

5. Fuck it. Be at peace with life just as it is by John C. Parkin.

I love this book so much.

The Author argues that saying Fuck it is a spiritual act….letting go and finding things really don’t matter that much at all, bringing freedom.

It brings peace…which brings magic. (For me, anyway!)

This is a really easy book to read. By easy book to read I mean you can steal a few lines here and there when you can and it still sinks in….not easy usually with a toddler!

I read a few pages each evening before I fell asleep and felt more at peace with life, that’s a win right there!

Have you read any of these books?

What books have made your life more magical?

I’d love to know ❤️

  1. This is a lovely selection of books. I have noted a couple down! We all need a bit of magic in our lives and the more the better- I am thankful to my own children for bringing the magic back and as they grow older, I still want to hold onto it. Nature and spirituality seem to hold the key. Fuck it as a spiritual act- love it! Thanks for sharing.
